A voluntary organisation founded over 50 years ago and has been helping make Kilcock a better place to live for all of our community.

Kilcock Credit Union

As part of it's commitment to the local community, Kilcock Credit Union provides practical guidance and support to Kilcock Tidy Towns.

This support is aimed to assist the group in its sustainabilty activities.

Our Focus

Despite the name we do a lot more than tidying, our projects can address Nature and Biodiversity, Climate Action, Sustainability, Community planning and involvement, our Green Spaces and Landscaping,  Streetscape and public spaces, and of course Tidiness and Litter control.

At the moment the main things we are doing is a lot of general tidying up / maintenance around the town and Community Gardens work - growing food, learning ourselves and teaching people to grow food.

Our plans for 2026

Include continuing our maintenance work, further developing our Community Gardens, working with Kilcock Historical and Heritage Society to develop a Heritage Trail and website, and a Derelict Buildings project to explore how we can collaborate with other stakeholders to reduce dereliction and improve the town.

We also have small projects underway (supporting local artists to get the electricity boxes decorated, creating a huge crochet Christmas Tree for the Community Garden, etc). In order to achieve our aims we need people to join us!

We are looking for volunteers to join our Tidy Towns team and help improve our town for everyone. By giving a little of your time, you can help make a real difference to our community, our environment, and the people who live here.

Volunteering could involve:
🌼 Planting flowers and improving green spaces
🧹 Litter picking and keeping our streets clean
🌳 Supporting environmental and biodiversity projects
🤝 Meeting new people and working together for a better town

You don’t need any experience – just a willingness to help and a bit of community spirit!
