VACANCY – FULL TIME CREDIT / MEMBER SERVICES OFFICER
Kilcock Credit Union is a community-focused financial services provider. As we continue on our growth trajectory a vacancy has now arisen for a Credit & Member Services Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Credit Officer and Assistant Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a combination of credit and teller duties, to include:
- Processing share withdrawals and lodgements, loan repayments and disbursements, including processing card payments
- Accurately and diligently reconciling/balancing of cash
- Opening new member accounts, including collating and filing all relevant documentation
- Upkeeping relevant member data in soft and hard copy formats as required to ensure KCU remains compliant with anti-money laundering and data protection requirements
- Handling member queries
- Assisting with processing LPLS & DBI claims
- Assisting with ongoing internal project work as required
- Handling loan applications/enquiries
- Carrying out loan application assessments
- Collating loan application data and documentation
The successful candidate should be able demonstrate:
- they have a polite and professional manner;
- they are a good team player, but can also use their initiative;
- they possess excellent organisational, communication and inter-personal skills;
- they have an ability meet deadlines.
Prior experience of personal and/or mortgage lending and experience in a frontline role in a financial institution would be advantageous, but is not essential. You will receive appropriate training to assist you in your role.
The role will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period. Pay will be competitive and commensurate with the nature of the role and your experience. A contributory pension scheme will be made available. The position is full-time covering Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (half-day). A QFA/APA qualification, or working towards that qualification, will be required, with training and support being provided for those working towards the qualification.
